Privacy policy
Your riding stays between you and your coach.

Levade connects a dressage coach with their riders. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: we collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and we show no ads.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and role (coach or rider). If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive a sign-in identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email. Apple's "Hide My Email" relay addresses work normally.
- Riding content you create: horses' names, homework plans, lesson dates, check-ins (how the ride felt, your horse's mood, step progress, notes) and coach replies.
- Voice notes: recorded only while you hold the record button. They are stored so your coach or rider can play them back.
- Device details for notifications: a push notification token, your time zone (to respect quiet hours) and your notification preferences.
- Purchases: if a coach subscribes to Levade Pro, Apple processes payment. We receive the subscription status, not your payment details.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers or browsing activity, and we do not use third-party analytics or tracking.
How we use it
- To share homework, check-ins and voice notes between a coach and the riders they've invited, and keep your devices in sync.
- To send notifications you've enabled, such as new homework or a coach reply. Notifications are held during quiet hours (21:00–07:00 your time).
- To provide AI features: drafting homework from a dictated plan, transcribing voice notes, and writing pre-lesson briefs from a rider's check-ins.
- To manage subscriptions and plan limits.
Who can see your data
Your homework, check-ins and voice notes are visible only to you and your linked coach or riders. There are no public profiles or feeds. If a rider leaves a coach, the coach no longer receives new check-ins from that rider.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run Levade, under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing the service:
- Cloudflare — hosting and storage for accounts, synced content and voice notes.
- Rork — app platform, sign-in with Google, and routing of AI requests.
- AI model providers (Anthropic and OpenAI) — process the text or audio needed for an AI feature when you use it. Content is sent only when you use the feature and is not used by Levade to train models.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notifications and in-app purchases.
- RevenueCat — subscription status for coaches, linked to an anonymous account identifier.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, your content and voice notes from our servers, usually immediately and always within 30 days, apart from backups that expire on a rolling basis. Content already shared with a coach or rider is removed from their view too.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or restrict processing. Contact us and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Levade is not directed to children under 13. Riders under 16 should use Levade with a parent or guardian's permission.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain and only hashed tokens are kept on our servers.

If we make meaningful changes we'll update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app.
